Sweet Belle

Well, finally finished the Queen Street sketch (as promised). What turned out to be just a sketch, evolved into a full blown drawing. Bits and pieces presented themselves on my walk home which I thought would be appropriate to this drawing.

Still trying to work on the technical side of this medium and figuring out what colours work with each other.

Queen Street

On my walk home everyday, I walk by so many eye catching women. Tried to capture what I found unique among all the ladies I walked by…not too sure it worked because a friend said it creeped her out. Oh well. Plus the golden egg up above wasn't supposed to be an egg but rather a vase. The technique got away from me and before I knew it, it was an egg.

Actually working on an updated version of this image and hopefully will finish it during the holidays.

Everything but…

Within this drawing I knew I wanted to incorporate a few elements: one or more person. A naked child and a pattern. Everything else I created as I went along. I'm still out on the verdict with this one. I definitely know some parts took me out of my comfort zone, but that's a good thing, no?

Too much coffee…
