I
decided today to broaden my horizons and sketch at the Yorkville
Library. It definitely has a different vibe from the Bloor Gladstone
branch. One thing I noticed immediately was the toddler's sing along
program that was happening as I was there. I would hear the lyrics
(scribbled on the bottom of the page) sung by the librarian and the kids
singing after her.

sketchbook
Some post work sketching at the Bloor Gladstone Library.
I have a pattern of sketching in public, especially when I sketch people. It starts with trying to be inconspicuous and as the drawing progresses, the quick peek turns into a longer look, without trying to be inconspicuous... Then when I'm really in the groove, it's a full on, open stare.

sketchbook, the sleeping giant.
The sleeping giant (that's what I'll be doing when the ball drops). My last sketch for 2014.
Looking forward to what kind of new art I'll be up to in 2015.
All the best to my friends in the new year.
