The last 4…

In 5 hours I'll be getting up and starting my trek to the Queen West Art Crawl Art Show. These are the last 4 image/type vignettes I've been working on for the last little bit.

I had to use a different part of my brain to produce these images, for the most part which were from my imagination. I didn't realize it would have been so tough, but I guess sketching from real life and sketching from the imagination come from two different sources of the brain… at least for me.

I'd like to hear what your thoughts are for the "Spinning a Yarn" image. I just "finished" it a few minutes ago but it doesn't feel as completed as the others. Feed back would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

Never-you-mind, Spinning Yarn looks complete. The only thing that I could imagine you doing is a border, and then it would probably be too busy and the simplicity of spinning yarn would disappear. Spinning yarn should be simple. By the way, the lettering is phenomenal. All of them are good. Lil Gyoza is great! The lil gyoza figure reminds me of Norman Rockwell - the fish, not so much. :) Good luck in the show!

These are all great Wil! When I first saw the yarn one, I thought that was brickwork in the background. That is my favorite of all your typography work!

Gosh, these are fabulous! I love the jockey especially. I thought exactly the same as Dan - it looked fab at first glance, nothing more to be done. As Dan says, perhaps a border but then it might detract from everything else. I'd leave as is, it's stunning. Love the compositions of all so far, you have a real eye for it!

Coming from the spinner herself...and reiterating what Dan said....spinning should be simple....I love everything about it.
I am really sorry I missed your show...next year?
