sketchbook 13/09/09

I went to an open house for The School of Ballet Creole, a dance troop that centres around Caribbean, African and Contemporary dance forms. They were holding 50 minute sessions where anybody could join in and learn basic dance steps from each of the disciplines. Plus, they had live drummers for all the mini master classes. Quite powerful!

Great sketch! And it sounds like a lot of fun too! Did you learn any new dances?

Thanks, Raena. Ummm, let's just say I enjoyed the music and appreciated the manual dexterity it takes to move like they were from a distance.

I was going to ask the same as Raena... but it seems music only hit your ears, not your feet :)
