St. Lawrence Market

I'm branching out from my coffee shop series and trying to capture a few other places in Toronto. This is the St. Lawrence MArket. A great people watching place and a lot of eye candy to sketch.
I thought I'd show the process of how one of these micron pen and watercolour drawings come to be. I've changed my process a bit and when I want to capture people I try to sketch them in with pencil quickly and then black line it.

I really appreciated seeing the progress. I actually enlarged nos. 2 & 3, and clicked back and forth so I could see the differences. The most interesting for me was inside the refrigerated cases - all painted in, no pen. Well done!

Dan-- thanks. I really like that part as well and it was the quickest part to do!
Genine--thanks for dropping by. It took me about 4 hours to blackline it and about the same amount of time to paint it.

Amazing.. to tell the least! I love the way you put in details in all your sketches.. Can you tell me where did you sketch this one from? I mean, where were you placed inside the store while sketching this? I am not able to imagine how I would be able to draw this kind of a lovely view, from inside a supermarket...
